- Are you an author, reader, or just plain curious?
- I am an author, "Mother's Journals: parts 1, 2 & 3" is my first novel. It covers 3 generations of women in one family. Margery dies, leaving her journals to her only daughter, Mary. Mary learns of the many trials and hardships her mother had endured and secrets that no one spoke of during her lifetime. Mary's neice, Ellen has trials of her own, and torrid love affairs. This book may prompt a few cold showers, and is intended for a mature audience only due to some graphic content.
This was written to illustrate the difference between both the good and the bad relationships, as well as how women of another generation dealt with trials of abuse, rape and family problems.
Most of the experiences I have written about have happened to me, to others I have known and many I now know.
Some people do not understand what abuse is, and this was my way of offering a little education while providing entertainment.
I have also been blogging on my website: http://www.freewebs.com/zadaconnaway/ in an effort to stop at least a little of the abuse that exists in this world, and promote safe behavior--especially for women. Children are of course a prime concern as well.
I am also a contributing author for 'Feigh's Ink' , a new monthly e-zine coming in December. Yes, my page will focus on abuse, it's many faces, plus offer help and hope to those in abusive situations. Questions are always welcome. Watch for the premiere issue, I will be announcing it when it becomes available.

- What are your some of your favorite crime fighting books?
- I mostly enjoy detective and forensic style novels. But my favorite books are thrillers and horror. They get my heart pumping.
- Favorite Music:
- I like rock and roll best of all. Mostly in the 70's, 80's and 90's time frames. My favorite artists are Dylan, Springsteen, Joel, Raitt and many others.
I have been known to enjoy classical and light jazz too, but very VERY limited country and western. I am afraid I do not consider rap to be music.
- Favorite TV Shows:
- Bones, House, The Closer, 24, and many of the old reruns.
